To celebrate our new, mobile-friendly website, AmazingCatechists.com is having an AMAZING giveaway!!!
If you subscribed to our newsletter longer than a month ago or have never subscribed, we’d like to give you the opportunity to SIGN UP NOW at the sidebar on the home page to be entered to win one of MORE THAN A DOZEN beautiful crucifixes—and to receive our once-weekly posts!
I’ll be raffling off FOURTEEN stunning pieces by the Holy Mass Crucifix Apostolate, which has received the Apostolic Blessings of both Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis! Once you have these extraordinarily beautiful crucifixes blessed by a priest, the Papal blessings will be imparted to them to bring the grace of God to those who use them.
The founder of the Holy Mass Crucifix Apostolate, Roger LeBlanc, frequently receives testimonials as to the power of those graces. Some say their loved ones have been brought back to the sacraments after receiving them! (Please consider supporting his holy apostolate with your Christmas shopping dollars.) He offers this collection to us in hopes of drawing many more souls back to the Holy Mass. What incredible generosity. This is the kind of selflessness that contributes powerfully to a culture of love and life.
As a result, we are GIVING AWAY TEN 5″ “First Communion: Holy Mass Standing Crucifixes,” TWO 3″ pendant crucifixes on black cord, and TWO 2″ pendant crucifixes on black cord. These are exquisite, heirloom-quality, enameled pieces that make great gifts for Christmas, First Communion, First Reconciliation, and Confirmation.

Thank you so much, Doug! Welcome HOME!!!
Please let us know what kinds of resources you are looking for. We are so pleased to be able to help. God bless you in your new life in faith!!!
Resources? Sure, but I don’t think there are any. Funny what a new Catholic sees when their eyes are opened. My entire world view has been turned upside down. I’m aghast at how I’ve so celebrated the Calvinist landing in New England, and how horrible “Bloody Mary,” the Catholic Queen of England, always seemed. Or, in the 1530’s when Henry VIII broke from Rome, never considering the painful reaction of Catholics as their Church was forcibly taken from them, or, the decimation of Catholicism in France during the French Revolution. What of those loyal and true French Believers? Much the same as the English Catholics under Mary’s reign. History has been turned on it’s head, because all my life, Catholic has always been really bad, and historical interpretations followed close in agreement.
What resources? possibly topics like, Garabandal, Lourdes, the Venerable Sister Mary of Jesus of Agreda, the Cure of D’Ars, Saint John Vianney, Anne Catherie Emmerich and John Henry Cardinal Newman. Also, I’d like to know what it was like in France and England during those periods of suffering.
Hey, Doug! Here’s a great article for you in Regina Magazine, called “The Catholic Genocide,” and it is eye-opening. There was very little popular support among Catholics for the French Revolution, and when ordinary folks rebelled, they were viciously suppressed. Check this out: https://reginamag.com/unknown-catholic-genocide/
Father George William Rutler wrote a book about the life of Saint John Vianney, called, The Cure of D’Ars, from Ignatius Press. In it the French Revolution is detailed. I recommend it.
Ooh, I’ll bet that’s good. I love Father Rutler! Thank you, Doug!
Welcome Doug, new Catholics are just the best. There is so much to learn, and the more you learn, the more you want to learn. I’m a returning Catholic. I tried all the other rides in the amusement park, and the Catholic ride is definitely the best! If you want to read something interesting, read or view “Catholicism” by Father Robert Barron and “Eucharist – Catholic Spirituality for Adults” also by Father Barron. He is wonderful. Welcome again Doug, great to have you in the fold!
Great recommendations. I love Father Barron’s YouTube series (channel name: Word on Fire). I also love the books of Scott Hahn, Peter Kreeft, Emily Stimpson, and others. So many good resources!
Peter Kreeft, you are so right…it is fun learning so much about my faith.
