As soon as I started Costanza’s book, I felt like I was having tea with a big sister or wise aunt (I have no big sister, and not many wise aunts). She writes in an honest, open, and entertaining (seriously, she’s hilarious!) way that had me immediately smiling and nodding along. She does not sugar coat married life (it is a cross, after all), and she gives plenty of practical advice along the way. The author presents a variety of true anecdotes and marital situations, most of which are extremely difficult and truly heart-breaking.

Veronica Burchard has written an extremely helpful new guide to help the laity understand Pope Leo XIII’s encyclical: A Pocket Guide to Rerum Novarum. I also, recently, brough this book to our Little Flowers Girls’ group to discuss the virtue of justice with the girls, and we all enjoyed it very much!

I Killed Maria Goretti

This novel by Pietro Di Donato tells the story of Alessandro’s rise from being known as an anti-social murderer to a truly redeemed and repented Christian. The story is told from Alessandro’s point of view and is divided into two parts: The Crime and The Repentance.
