Each month in the Church, there is a special dedication for the month. April is dedicated to the Holy Eucharist. Since Easter usually falls in April, this is the perfect time to spend time honoring our Eucharistic Lord! Today, I am sharing Eucharist resources for kids, reflections on the Eucharist, a Bible lesson on the Eucharistic prayer, and a book that will help you appreciate and enter into the mystery of the Eucharist this month.

How Kids Can Honor Jesus in the Holy Eucharist this April
By
The month of April is dedicated to the most Holy Eucharist. Today, I will share how kids can honor Jesus in the Holy Eucharist this April.
Number One #Superfood: The Eucharist, Hands Down
All of us are laboring to bring our students to Christ, hoping, even when all seems hopeless, to facilitate an encounter with Jesus that will save their souls. As catechists, to bear fruit that will last (Jn 15:16), we must begin with our own encounter with Christ through the Eucharist, the “source and summit” of our faith.
The Eucharist – An Intimate & Unique Experience
By
The Catholic Catechism tell us that the “Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life.” Jesus’ words at the Last Supper – “This is my body – this is my blood” can be found in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke.
But it is the Gospel of John – Chapter 6 where Jesus really emphasizes the Eucharist.
“The Eucharist is the heart of the Church. Where Eucharistic life flourishes, there the life of the Church will blossom.” – Blessed John Paul II

The placement of the Sacred Tabernacle fosters our adoration of Him every time we enter the Church, particularly at every Mass before we consume Him in the Holy Eucharist.
Samson and Eucharistic Prayer #1
We’re in the middle of a month of learning about the Mass. We just finished this part of the Eucharistic Prayer:
“Look with favor on these offerings and accept them as once you accepted the gifts of your servant Abel, the sacrifice of Abraham, our father in faith, and the bread and wine offered by your priest Melchizedek.” We review the offerings of these three (a lamb, a ram substituting for Isaac, bread & wine); the kids have seen all of them before.
How to be His: A 33-Day Dedication to Our Eucharistic Jesus
By
As a busy mom, I don’t have a lot of time to go on retreats (I am loving this blessed season of littles, of course!). That’s why I love books like How to be His: A 33-Day Dedication to Our Eucharistic Jesus. Everyday I read this devotional, I felt like I was at a mini retreat at home. Most importantly, it gave me an even deeper and more profound appreciation of the Eucharist and our Eucharistic Lord. It was wonderful to ponder this mystery for 33 days, and I highly recommend picking it up for the month of April which is dedicated to the Holy Eucharist!
