Cool things about this book

Something that is really cool in this book is the timeline. In this book, OSV Kids Discover: The Pope, there is a timeline which goes from St. Peter to Pope Leo XIV. This book also talks about the things that popes do in their daily life. The pictures in this book are really nice. The pictures are pictures of Rome and popes. Something exciting is that there is a picture of Pope Leo XIV on one of the pages of this book! (Amazing CateKID #1)

I learned who can be in the Sistine chapel during the conclave. I also learned that the cardinals will not be allowed back in the Sistine chapel if they leave for no reason. (Amazing CateKID #2)

My favorite parts of the book

One of my favorite parts of the book is when the book talks about what the pope does all day. I liked to read about where the pope gets dressed in his vestments before stepping onto the balcony. In this book, there is a joke. It’s a funny joke. My most favorite part of this book is learning about the Pope’s pets. (Amazing CateKID #1)

Some cool facts I learned in this book

The first cool fact that I learned is, the pope has slippers. The pope wears these slippers when he’s at home. The slippers are red like his shoes. Pope Leo X had an elephant. The elephant performed tricks for people. When the elephant died, Pope Leo X buried the elephant in the papal garden! Later on, builders found the bones of the elephant. Once, someone brought an injured bird to Pope Pius XII, and he nursed it back to health! I learned that Popes can be animal lovers too. (Amazing CateKID #1)

If you are interested in learning about the pope we totally recommend this book. This book is recommended for ages eight and up. This book would also make a perfect gift for a Catholic kid. (Amazing CateKID #1)

This book is a great book for catholic kids. This book has different sections such as papal daily life and becoming a pope. I have learned so much by reading this book. It is a good book if you would like to learn about the pope. (Amazing CateKID #2)
