Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

By Lisa Mladinich

Dear Readers,

Thanks for stopping by this month to see what’s up at Amazing Catechists! We have exciting news!

We’re getting ready to make some big changes here at the website, and we wanted to let you know in advance. Some time in the next few weeks, our look and functionality will be updated and streamlined to make the site easier and more fun for you to use. But we’ll be at the same web address, so you won’t have to go looking for us. Our beautiful new site is under construction and we’re all packed up and ready to move as soon as it’s ready.

Our good friend, catechist and web-designer, Dorian Speed is creating our new digs, and I’d like to ask you to say a little prayer for her when you read this. Just stop right here and toss a quick one up yonder…

+

Thanks! Dorian is doing beautiful work and we really appreciate her design savvy and good humor, especially with my near-total technological ineptitude.

Why is Amazing Catechists moving, you ask?

Well, you may have noticed that some aspects of this dear old site are not working too well any more. Some of the programming has gone awry, and we’ve been beset by spammers in our forums. I finally had to shut them down in self-defense.

Aw, don’t feel too bad. We weren’t really using them much anyway.

Our new site won’t have forums, but we’ll be working cooperatively with another great website for catechists, Catechetics Online, which has very good, working forums. We’ll always have a live link available for you here at home, to make it easy for you to pop over see what folks are chatting about over at the neighbors’.

The site owner at Catechetics Online is our friend, super-catechist Adam Janke, whose mission complements ours so perfectly that we talked it over and decided to start working together. We’ll be steering folks over to his forums (and participating in them ourselves), and he’ll soon be linking to some of our columns at his home page.

Again, thanks for your interest in our mission to bring great, free resources to catechists, and to give you the chance to share your teaching methods and insights with us.

As you know, November is devoted to the Holy Souls in Purgatory, so remember to add them to your intentions when you pray with your students this month.

God bless you! And say a little prayer for our big move, please!

Sincerely in Christ through Mary,

Lisa Mladinich
Founder, Amazing CatechistsTM
